Premiere April 1, 1956...beginning Prime Time Jan. 12, 1962 - June 18, 1963. Half Hour Weekly Report hosted by Chet Huntley. An NBC half hour documentary series which premiered at 2:30pm on April 1, 1956 under the title OUTLOOK. The program initially featured news headlines, and multiple stories at greater length, including filmed reports. Narration and Commentary by Chet Huntley. Beginning December 22, 1957 the format was changed to provide in-depth exploration of a single subject. From 1959 to 1961 the program was aired on Sunday afternoon at 5:30pm. On January 12, 1962 the series moved to prime-time, Friday nights 10:30pm with the same format, Huntley interviewing news personalities and exploring topical issues in depth. During its seven year run the series had the following titles: OUTLOOK, CHET HUNTLEY...REPORTING, TIME:PRESENT...CHET HUNTLEY REPORTING, and beginning September 25, 1960, CHET HUNTLEY REPORTING. Broadcast title: "The Fringe Men...Anglo Saxon Attitudes." Chet Huntley interviews Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Jonathan Miller and Alan Bennett, stars of the Broadway hit, "Beyond The Fringe."

September 21, 1962-September 10, 1965. After leaving the "Tonight" show in March 1962, Jack Paar returned that fall as host of a one hour Friday-night variety series. Opening monologue by Jack Paar with anecdotes related to his orchestra leader and long time friend, Jose Melies, and his family. Les Paul and Mary Ford sing "Waiting for the Sunrise," "Summertime," and "Hush Little Baby." Alexander King makes his 160tha appearance with Jack Paar. He talks about his latest book, "Is There Life after Birth?" He jokes about his medical escapades during his recent hospital stay. Dick Gregory is introduced by Paar who mentions how he discovered Gregory in 1960 when he was penniless. Paar narrates home movies of Dick Gregory and his wife Lillian. Dick Gregory stand-up routine is heard. At the desk Dick tells Jack what life is like being a negro comedian. The UK ensemble group Beyond the Fringe is introduced by Jack Paar. The group comprised of Alan Bennett, Jonathan Miller, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore perform. Announcer is Jim Lucas.

During credits there is a plug by Dudley Moore and Peter Cook to tune into this evening's Saturday Night (not yet establishing the name Saturday Night Live). NOTE: None of the broadcasts in this series are known to survive. All were either erased or discarded.

Network television's first entry into late-late-night programming on weeknights Monday thru Thursday, usually broadcasting on tape 1 AM to 2 AM. "Tomorrow" was expanded to 90 minutes on September 16, 1980. First of four broadcasts taped in London England. Tonight's show is from Father's Public House Pub. In-depth interviews with Twiggy, followed by Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. At the end of the broadcast Snyder interviews the owner of the pub, John Lindley and his wife and son.
