#7545B: FAMILY HOLVAK
Order1975-12-21, NBC, 59 min.
September 7 - December 21, 1975 Short lived filmed one hour series depicting life in the South during the Depression. Glen Ford plays Rev. Tom Holvak a poverty-stricken clergyman trying to scrape together enough money to support his wife and two children. This series has many of the family values that were seen in the long running series The Walton's, stressing family love and understanding and those challenges faced by all during the depression. Unfortunately, this series was never given a fixed time period so important for viewers to count on tuning in each week. Beside being pre-empted at times it aired on NBC in four different time and day slots, the final episode this one on December 21, 1975. In this final episode Tom Holvak must consider giving up the ministry in order to get a job that will pay him enough to finance an operation to cure his wife who was injured in a fall. Includes all original holiday commercials.
