He is the losing pitcher going eight innings in a 3-2 defeat. The Milwaukee Brewers defeat the New York Yankees 3-2 at Yankee Stadium in New York City. Skip Lockwood defeats Mel Stottlemyre. Bobby Murcer hits his 33rd homer of the season and Roy White hits his 10th, both off Lockwood, who wins his 8th game of the season. Announcers are Bill White, and Frank Messer. Aired on WGY Radio. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing the National Anthem prior to the game.
