Broadcast by all networks & local stations, a Papal mass at Yankee Stadium by Pope Paul VI who began his day in New York City addressing the United Nations and then had a meeting with President Lyndon B. The Pope's Trip
At 9:30 AM, the jet carrying Pope Paul VI is scheduled to land at John F. Kennedy International Airport and the first visit of any Roman Catholic Pontiff to the Western Hemisphere will begin.
Those accompanying the Pope on his third major journey (The first two were in the Holy Land and India) include Eugene Cardinal Tisserant, France; Antonio Cardinal Caggiano, Argentina; Norman Cardinal Gilroy, Australia; Peter Cardinal Doi, Japan; Laurian Cardinal Rugambwa, Tanzania; Richard Cardinal Cushing, Boston, James Francis Cardinal McIntyre, Los Angeles; Joseph Cardinal Ritter, St.Louis; Francis Cardinal Spellman, New York; and Lawrence Joseph Cardinal Sheehan, Baltimore.
During the Pope's New York visit, he will address the United Nations. Revs. Edward L. Heston and William Tobin are special narrators for ABC, Father Robert O'Donnell narrates for NBC and Auxiliary Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, for CBS. Producers are Sid Darion, ABC, Chet Hagen, NBC, and 60 Minutes creator Don Hewitt for CBS.

Noon- Prayer Of Thanks at St. Patrick's Cathedral
1PM- The Pope and President Johnson meet at The Waldorf Astoria
3PM- Pope Paul leaves the Cardinal's residence for the United Nations.
3:30- Pope Paul speaks (in French) to the General Assembly
4PM- Meetings with UN Delegates and with Secretary-General U-Thant
6PM- Pope Paul leaves the United Nations for return to the Cardinal's residence.
8:30PM- Pope Paul celebrates Mass for peace at Yankee Stadium
9:45PM- Pope Paul leaves Yankee Stadium
11PM- Pope Paul departs for Rome.
