Dr. Martin Luther King was shot in Memphis Tennessee at 6:05pm  Central time just as this live news broadcast was underway. However, there was no mention of King being gunned down throughout  the live broadcast which concluded the latest news 25 minutes after Dr. Martin Luther King was mortally shot.
